Smohk and Mischief was born out of one man’s love of barbecue.

Combining 20 years experience in restaurants and an insatiable passion (and appetite) for food, he embarked on a journey to serve smokey goodness out a little Citroen HY van named Amelie.

 

We’re passionate about barbecue because it combines everything we love most, food, friends and the outdoors and that’s the inspiration behind every menu we design for a customer.

You might think that because we’re barbecue folk, we’re all about the meat, but actually, we feel strongly that everyone should experience good food. So we make sure the veggies, the vegans and the pescetarians don’t miss out and get some equally fabulous options as the meat-lovers.

We are big believers in buying fresh and sourcing locally and we smoke and cure our products ourselves at Smohk and Mischief’s HQ.

All of our dishes are tried and tested and tried again. Each one is a carefully developed fusion of natural ingredients and smoke from British hard-wood and fruit-wood.

Our little Citroen HY van is as fascinating as she is beautiful. We found out about her while she was being restored to her former glory by the hosts of the hit TV show Wheeler Dealers. And that’s really when Smohk and Mischief was born.

We love taking her on our adventures and you won’t see many like her driving on the roads. Unlike most other surviving HY’s that have to be towed, Amelie has had a full engine transplant and runs like a dream (well, kind of!)
